USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships
Will award $1,500 scholarships to students with economic need.  Applications online at www.usafunds.org/scholarship  between Dec. 15, 2010 and Feb. 15, 2011.

Burger King Scholars Program.   $1,000, $5,000, and $25,000 scholarships available to all eligible high school seniors and Burger King employees.

Due date:  Jan. 10. 2011

Nebraska Press Association Foundation, Inc.  $2,000 scholarships to graduates of Neabraska high schools planning to enroll in Nebraska-based colleges leading to careers in print journalism.

Due date:  Feb. 25, 2011

Elk scholarships.  Applications must go through Elks Lodge in Scottsbluff or Ogallala.
J.B. Ferguson Golf Scholarship – one $500 grant to boy or girl (Due Date: Jan. 15th); Past Exalted Ruler Scholarship (Due date: Jan. 15th); Vocational Scholarship for students planning to attend a two-year or less vocational technical program. (Due date:  Jan. 10)

NMC Cat Sponsorship & Caterpillar Scholarship  to Central Community College, Hastings, NE.  Will be granted to students who will pursue an associate degree in diesel technology.  NMC Sponsorship is to help students become successful service employees with NMC CAT.

21st Century Equipment,LLC U.  Offers scholarships to qualified  individuals to attend the John Deere Company partnership programs at Southeast Community College in Milford, NE and Garden City Community College in Garden City, KS.

PREMA Member Cooperative Scholarship/Tri-State/Basin Scholarship
For any qualified college sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student:
PREMA 1 - $1,000 Scholarship
Tri-State 1 - $500 Scholarship
Basin 1 - $1000 Scholarship
*PREMA 1 - $500 Chadron State College Scholarship
For any qualified, second-semester college freshman:
PREMA 2 - $500 Scholarships
Tri-State 1 - $500 Scholarship
WNCC Powerline Training School 1 - $1000 Scholarship
Due Date:  Feb. 12th in Alliance PREMA office.

Consolidated Companies. Offers thirteen $88 scholarships to high school seniors planning to attend
an accredited college, university, technical school, community college or jr. college. Criteria for
judging are: interest in returning to rural Nebraska after graduation, community service, leadership,

Deadline: App. must be postmarked no later than March 2, 2011.

Foundation for Rural Service national scholarship program will award 30 scholarships worth $2,000
each. Consolidated will contribute $500 in addition. Students will need to contact Brian Thompson at
Consolidated (402-489-2728) for info on NTCA member regions. Copies of app. at same website listed
above for Consolidated Companies.

Deadline: February 18, 2011.
